Snowball Get Togethers 4 Rett

Our Snowball Get Together 4 Rett campaign kicked off in November 2014 and will hopefully keep on rolling (get it?) throughout 2015. The idea is simple: invite some friends round for tea, coffee, cake and chat; ask them to make small donations in return for your fabulous hosting; inspire them to go away and host their own events, inviting lots more of their friends. And so it goes on.

I held my own GT4R (catchy?) in November, had a lovely morning with some great people, and raised £120 in the process. Several of those friends then hosted their own events, whilst many who couldn’t make it to mine kicked off their own Get Togethers in different parts of the country. And it hasn’t only been tea and cake: we’ve had quiz nights, clothes sales, cocktails and canapes, Pampered Chef parties and dinners, and we’ve gone from Sutton all the way to South Africa so far. The amounts raised have been brilliant, ranging from £80 right through to £650, with the total amount currently standing at just over £2000 (most of which was doubled through the Big Give event) 🙂
