Kent College Secondary School

Last year, my somewhat relentless mum wrote to every secondary school in the Canterbury area to pitch for their support of Reverse Rett. My own connection with Kent College goes back to my school days, when I regularly played against their sports teams, and then later to 2001 when I became a teacher and house tutor there.

Thanks to Mum’s pitch to their sixth form, Kent College chose Reverse Rett as one of their charities of the year and have already held several successful fundraising events. In October 2014 I also had the opportunity to speak to the whole school in a special assembly.

Before Christmas, they held a Charity Extravaganza Day, which included such things as music events, cake sales, auctions, stalls and clothes swaps, raising a fantastic £850 for Reverse Rett in one day.

Their fundraising is ongoing through 2015, so watch this space for updates, photos and grand totals 🙂
