Reverse Rett was founded only 5 months after Hannah was diagnosed with Rett Syndrome. The charity was founded and set up in the kitchen of now executive director, Rachael Bloom, and remains driven almost exclusively by committed parents and families of children with Rett.
Since day one, Reverse Rett have worked in partnership with the US based Rett Syndrome Research Trust and other international organisations to compound a global effort to speed treatment for Rett Syndrome. In the four years since their creation, they have delivered over £2 million of funds raised to research. In that time they have also won two Best New Charity Awards; in the Charity Times Awards 2011 and the Just Giving Awards 2012 respectively.
